Otherwise, drop on by and check them out.
And if you're not familiar with the What
If? one shot, here's the Previews description. Please considering
buying this comic, as it's a fund raiser for the Hero Initiative,

Hulk toys at Burger King!
On Thursday a customer told me about the
Hulk movie promotion at Burger King, so that evening I took a spin over
and picked up two of the toys in the series. I was told the promotion
just began (on Monday, I believe), so check it out quick before they're
gone. There will be two new toys each week for three weeks for a
total of six toys. To see what the toys look like, check out the
Burger
King website. Also, don't forget to pick up Burger King's Kids
Club magazine, Adventures vol 19 issue #6, which focuses on the
Hulk.

Hulk goodies at 7-Eleven!
On Sunday evening I took a trip to 7-Eleven.
The heat was making me melt, so I drove on over to get an ice cream fix,
and lo! I found an assortment of Incredible Hulk Movie goodies awaiting
me! They're selling three different Hulk Slurpee cups ($1.99 each)
and three different Hulk Slurpee straws ($1.49 each)(two different Hulk
ones and one Abomination one). There's also a special Big Gulp cup
($1.09) with the Hulk logo on it that has The Incredible Gulp printed on
the other side. And there's an exclusive 7-Eleven Hulk comic book,
a reprint of the Incredible Hulk #25 (April 2001) that they're selling
for $4.99. It has a new cover. They also have an assortment
of other Hulk merchandise for sale, although the other items don't look
to be 7-Eleven exclusives. I was told the Slurpees just went on sale
a few days ago, so don't delay before they sell out! --Nick

Dreamscape Comics featured in new Amish
Pirate episode!
The Amish Pirate just released his 15th
YouTube episode yesterday, and I was surprised to see that the Dreamscape
Comics coffee mug is featured prominently! If you haven't already
watched any episodes, check it out. The episodes are cleverly produced
and fun to watch. Here's a link to the Amish
Pirate MySpace page where the videos can be found. Let me know
what you think.

Iron Man toys at Burger King!
Last night I spotted an Iron Man Kids
Meal toy promotion at Burger King. They have a series of six toys
to be released two at a time each week, apparently starting on Monday,
April 21st. Plus their Adventures magazine features Iron Man,
so be sure to pick up a copy of that too.
Iron Man Slurpee cups at 7-Eleven
And keep in mind that 7-Eleven has an
Iron Man promotion going on as well. They have a series of four different
Slurpee cups, three different Iron Man straws, and a Slurpee mug shaped
like Iron Man's head that's really cool.
I love collecting all of these comic book related promotions, so I'll try to post them here for other folks to see. And let me know if you see anything out and about at a fast food joint or grocer or wherever, and I'll pass it along. --Nick

Kick-Ass #2 doesn't ship!
Because of an errror on the publisher's part, no copies of Kick-Ass #2
were shipped to the warehouse serving our region of the country.
The situation is being addressed and copies will now arrive on Wed., April
9th. We did, however, get copies of the #1 2nd Ptg Romita Jr. Variant
edition, and highly recommend this series. It does, indeed, kick
ass!

Jeph Loeb announced at Friday's
Wizard World Los Angeles convention that issues #7, 8 and 9 of the Hulk
will feature two 11-page stories harkening back to the days that the Hulk
shared the Tales to Astonish title with the Sub-Mariner. Arthur
Adams will draw the lead Hulk feature, with the Hulk squaring off against
Wendigos, while Frank Cho will illustrate the backup story of the
She-Hulk
facing down the Red Hulk.
Loeb also announced that legendary Hulk artist Herb Trimpe will be contributing to the King-Sized Hulk one shot.
Marvel Marketing Manager Jim McCann mentioned a new Sub-Mariner Marvel Knights mini series by Peter Milligan and Essad Ribic. No release date announced.
Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale are working on a new mini series entitled Captain America: White, which will take place in 1941. "It's going to be one particular mission that defines who the characters were." Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos will appear as well. "We're going to deal with a lot of Steve's relationship with Nick, and it's going to echo a lot with what goes on in present day."
There will also be an Ultimatum
mini series by Loeb and David Finch, leading out of the events
of Ultimate Origins by Brian Michael Bendis and Butch
Guice.

DC Comics announces the return
of their Manhunter series beginning in June. Perhaps most
amazing of all, the series will pick up where the old numbering left off
with #31! The series has a loyal following, and all thirty previous
issues are still in print in four trade paperback volumes (and always kept
in stock at Dreamscape Comics!).
A new publisher enters the scene in July.
Chimaer
Comics will publish cohesive continuity series of the Chimaer Hero
Universe with titles including Consortium of Justice, Wargod, Lonebow,
Blaze Anderson: Cosmonaut!, Titus, The Byzantine and Hellhounds.
Check out the company's official website here.

Shocking and sad news today. Legendary
Rocketeer
artist Dave Stevens died yesterday as a result of complications
of leukemia. Born on July 29th, 1955, he was only 52 years old.
Stevens was the creator and artist on the acclaimed Rocketeer series.
A shame to lose such an immensely talent man. You can read Mark Evanier's
obituary at his POV
website.
